Exhaust

First, these may be related,

Anyone out there know the temp of there muffler and or tailpipe (I am running a flowmaster 50 series) I took a temp about a month ago and it was running 497 degrees. Aside from the flowmaster, I also have a high flow cat, k&n intake and a jet chip stage II. Is there a chance that the air to fuel mix is off causing a higher temp?

The other issue is... while coming to a semi-abrupt stop, the Jeep drops in RPM and almost stalls (Has not yet, but still may). A previous post I left got a response that it may be the fuel pump (the drop in RPM and it was also choking around corners when on 1/4 tank of gas. So do these two problems sound like a fuel pump issue?

Any Help appreciated,

Turk

Have you taken the chip off and taken the temp?

Not yet. I have only recently notice any probs with the bogging. The temp I never check the temp difference from stock to mod. Though I have been running with the same set up for 4 years and never bothered to check temp. I would guess that with the mods there is a possibility of a uneven fuel/air ratio. One other thing, also recently I have notice a lower fuel economy. Maybe I am not getting good spark and therefore, have some fuel burning in the exhaust???? Finally, I have never changed the fuel filter or the fuel pump since I have owned the vehicle (6 years)
