tune up ?

Hi all. i have a 96 zj 5.2, and im in the prosess of a tune up. i have an understanding that it is an easy job. i have everything that i need.

plugs
wires
cap & rotor

i have not done a tune up before. but i have talked with a few people and they said that it was an easy job at hand but i was just wondering if there was anything major that i needed to know before i begin.

Thanks for your help!

yep its easy, the 4.0 has a few plugs that are a bit hard to get to but once you learn how to do it its easy. double check your plug gaps. you got what you need too. you should consider doing seafoam or mopar ccc before changing your plugs.

It really isn't bad, the distributor is kinda tucked under the firewall a bit. Use mopar wires, and champion copper plugs. Do one plug and one wire at a time! That way they don't get mixed up.

PS, what's this Black and Gold theme on your Orvis?

The Orvis has been neglected and needs help. Back on here after a long time. Time to research some help haha

That's not an orvis then, its just a limited. Chrysler messed up the vin, in 1996 they only had Green ones with green/tan seats with a red pipe. www.jeeporvis.com for more details.

thanks for the info. i didnt think that it was one because of the colors, and that it says limited, but no harm no foul.
