Transmission question need help!!

Hi !

I have a Limited G. C. 1993 .

My G.C: was parked at the garage (30 degree cilm) but a frind of mine moved the shift from Park to neutral and then went back to park while the jeep was moving!!! I heard a cranking noise!!

The jeep still moves but I heard a weird noise like a strip of plastic touching the tire while rotates... What could it be??

What can happen to the transmission with the accident my friend had??

Please advice, I can not find the source of that noise (barely heard)

When it was placed into part while it was moving, did it stop or keep moving ? did you apply the brake at that time.
What you prpbably heard, was the park pal or detent trying to lock in. Its possible it damaged either on of these items. you may have to take it in. If their is a problem, with the oil pan removed, you may be able to see it. Its aft of the valve body, left hand side.
If their is a problem, get it fixed or looked at so any more possible damage won't happen.
