transmission problems

so when i floor it from a stop it revs up in 1st then as soon as it shifts into 2nd it immediately shifts into 3rd. and when im in 3rd and punch it it wont downshift. but when i go easy it goes into 2nd and when i put it in 2 it works fine. didnt know if this is a regular problem or if i should hit a junk yard and replace it.

Check the fluid level while running warm in neutral.

Adjust the TV/Kickdown cable under the hood. This made a world of difference in mine, the shift points are much more precise and smooth now.

When is the last time you did a fluid/filter change? Very easy, just messy.

I've checked it in the past month but I'll check again. I only got this vehicle 2 months ago or so. So I've never done one.
