Transmission band adjustment
I am going to change out the fluid on my 46re trans. (5.9L) While I am there, I was told that I should check the band adjustment. Should I re-torque the front and rear bands or should I just leave it. Currently, it is shifting hard and hits really hard on the kick down. Also, what filter does everyone run? I dont like Fram, plus it says that it should be replaced every 15,000 miles instead of 30,000.

Nevermind about the filter, I got a wix. Has anyone done band adjustments?
