You positive? It looks identical to my black plug. Anyways, the black plug only uses 1 wire and the red uses 2, the plugs aren't the same.

I'm trying to remember this wiring thing, but I think you unplug the red connector. and then in that same wire bundle that the red connector is in there should be a black connector that isn't connected that needs to get plunged in. I think its a total separate black connector male and female. just like the red has a male and female. from what I remember you don't connect red to black.

I meant the one I have circled. That goes to the cigarette lighter? If it does, there's one that looks exactly like it, and another female connector somewhere in the bundle.

No. There are 2 black plugs. One female, and one male somewhere in the bundle. Im going out to fix a power steering fluid leak here soon, I can take it apart again for a pic.

2 red plugs (male and female) and two black plugs (male and female). unplug the red and plug in the black.

You do know the difference between male and female don't you? Or do we have to explain that to you too?

Tab "A" goes into slot "B"

If you try and put tab "A" into another tab "A" then that is called a "FAIL!"

there's that red connector, there's a black connector that's exactly the same as that one further up the loom to the right, the tab on it is backwards from the red one and cannot be plugged into the red. there's a one wire black one right in the middle that isn't plugged in. it'll be under the tape to the right of where the vic and hvac plugs branch off.
what i get when i plug various combinations in, anything with the red plugged in gives me 4wd switch malf in 4ft, reads n right and that's it. with the single wire black just plugged in, i get the 2 rear wheels lit up in anything other than 4ft and n, which read correctly. with the black 2 wire and the single wire plugged in i get the same readings.
part time and lo do not read for some reason.
