transfer case output shaft play

nv247 v8 wj 00 91,000miles

in the process of discovering my front end noise/vibe. got under the jeep and started feelin around. i noticed i was able to move the front output shaft up and down just a little, not sure if thats normal but i figured it could be an output shaft bearing issue since i recently had my single double d/s rebuilt not to long ago.

and another question. can a pinion bearing go out before the pinion seal does?

I have the same issue and I have a vibe that is worst when there is no load on the transfer at highway speeds.
