transfer case issue?

got a nice jeep in a trade. 95 Grand Cherokee Laredo w/ 318. all was well for 2 weeks, then it started. the squeaking sounded like the ujoints, so i replaced all 4. some noise went away, but then it got worse. lubed up everything with a zerk i could find. that didnt help anything. fluids look good in both diffs, and transfer case. noise gets worse when i let off the gas. sounds the same whether i use the brakes or not. the last few times ive driven it, it has started to sound like gears slopping. any suggestions? ive been at this a month now, ANY help is greatly appreciated

does the noise really get worse when you let off the gas or is it just you can hear it better and you're slowing down and less engine noise? Is the sound harmonic or random intervals? When the car is stopped does it still make the noise or only when moving? What about when in neutral either stopped or when moving?

Could also be your double cardan joint in the front driveshaft. Mine was making squeaks and causing vibes.

it gets worse, its harmonic, only when the vehicle is moving, makes the sound whether its in drive or neutral, also happens in reverse

Yea check drive shafts first
