So, you used the RTV as a secondary seal after installing the seals and not as the only sealing agent, right?

Uh no, it was RTV'd when I pulled it apart so that's how it went back together. That's the red high temp RTV. It's just what I had in the tool box. It didn't say on the tube anything about ATF fluid or any type of fluid. All it said was high temp, don't put it in your eyes blah blah. It's up there now and it's not leaking. I'm not pulling it unless it starts leaking. Yes, I let it cure for 24 hours.

Meh...steel to aluminum is perfectly removable. I use it on my D44a.
