trans temp gauge-keep blpwing up cunverters

Has anyone installed a trans temp gauge.I keep overheating and blowing up converters.I was told that stalling the conv. during off-raoding builds up to much heat, therefore over heating converter.I have the factory trans cooler but I thought a temp. gauge may help me keep an eye on it.Any other idea's.just saved up for lookers, know $700 blown on replacing conv. and blown seals.

Holy smokes, I thought I was the only one having these problems. No one would believe me when I said not having torque converter lockup would overheat the thing, but here I am, getting my tranny overhauled. They found some wire in the harness that grounds against the body and keeps it from locking up.

This won't help your situation any, but just letting you know someone else out there has a similar situation.
