Trans leak

Got a leaky Transmission, Leaks a fair amount when it sits for long periods of time. Seems to start leaking hours after it sits. Anywho, my first jeep and I know nothing about them. Can anyone tell me where all the trans can be leaking from. The whole trans is covered in fluid from the front to back.

Front meaning by the engine to the trans and on the T case.
What are all the locations for possible leaks? Trans seal....what else?
Might as well check them all. Oh its a 93 grand wagoneer 5.2 qaudra whatever. 44re I think.

46RH is the trans from 93-95 v8's. Take a look at where the transmission lines go into the radiator on the passenger side. There are plenty of spots it can leak from. The lines going to the rad, the transmission pan, the lines going into the trans, ect. You just have to wipe it all clean and then examine it closely.

Clean the whole trans real good with brake cleaner, then check it often to see exactly where its leaking from.

Will do, is there not a seal that it could be leaking from?

The lines going into the radiator usually start leaking at the quick disconnects. It could be blowing back or check the seals at either ends of driveshaft and see if those are leaking.

Mine had same symptoms when tranny front pump seal leaked.

Scrape off caked crud, wipe everything clean like dnuccio suggested, then keep watch where the leak starts from.
