Tranny problems??

Hi everyone I was just wondering if any of you ZJ owners have had transmission trouble or any type, I know the differentials are common, and they're not too expensive to replace, are they? As usual, we have no problems at all, but in the 96-98 (earlier/laters owners invited urged to chime in as well) have there been major trans problems? I am asking as I am looking at buying a 96-98 GC Limited V-8 4X4, lifting it, outfitting it with a brush guard, skid plates, and much more off roading equipment, and then off roading it heavily of course

TIA,

Sean

My girlfriend has a '96 Laredo. She got it in June this year, and has'nt had any problems with it. (Knock Wood). As far as I know the previous owner did'nt have any problems either. If you know a specific Vin number for the ZJ your'e looking at, (or any other for that matter) I'd look it up on Carfax to see what kind of typical problems arise. Usually Jeeps will run for 200,000+ miles without too many problems.
