tranny delay need advice

hey guys wondering if i can get some help i just picked up a 98 zj off and old man and the thing is mint but i notice that there is a delay when its goin from first gear to second and only when the jeep is at full running temp when its cold i can floor it and shifts fine thru every gear but again once warm goin from 1st to 2nd there and bit of a delay but it doesnt bang into the gear it goes in smooth do i need a tranny? is this normal?

Try adjusting the tv cable I had the same problem with my 98 zj to hahah except for it did it all the time if it was cold or hot second and first gear would rev up really high and it would shift but after a few seconds after I adjusted the tv cable it only jerks foward now on 1st gear instead of 1st and 2nd try that out and I heard PCM fuse has something to do with it search the thread shifting in wrong rpms it has alot more info on this subject
