Trailer Hitch swap from Cherokee to Grand Cherokee

I have a Uhaul trailer hitch receiver that fit perfectly on an 89 and on a 2000 Cherokee. Will this fit on my 97 Grand Cherokee? Any advice on if I can make it work, or should I not even try.
Joe

I have an extra ZJ hitch if you or a friend would be traveling across the country and wanted to p/u. I think shipping would be to $$$$$.

You can make anything work if you have the time and resources. But it would be a lot easier to just go buy the hitch made for your Jeep.

the holes where it bolts up to the unibody won't be far enough apart.
