Trade a 99 4.7 for a 98 5.9?

Should I trade my low mileage clean 99 4.7 wj for a 98 zj 5.9? Mine has 118k the 5.9 has 163k rebuilt tranny with shift kit. They both run great and look great.

No the WJ is worth more. Sell it then buy the 5.9.

I just looked it up an KBB and it says the WJ is worth 4000 in excellent condition. And KBB is usually on the high side of estimates. I would look around at what the WJ's like yours are going for with the same mileage and go from there.

I would take the WJ. I would take a 5 spd auto Transmission vs 4 spd that the 5.9 has. Better highway mileage.

I have a 5.9, and from time to time I take my brothers 2004 WJ Overland 4.7 H.O and I prefer the WJ for long trips. But I do love taking my 5.9 out on the trails

Well the 5.9 might be a little faster off the line but they both do the 1/4 mile in about the same time stock.

I've outran a 5.0 mustang until about 60mph on a 4lane...in the rain. That's where the 249 wins! He spun tires for a good minute. Pretty slippery.

Pretty sure that 5.9 doesn't have a rebuilt tranny or shift kit.
