track bar shot on 93 ZJ, what are my options?

Hi,

The track bar is shot on my ZJ. It's got a 2"BB and 31's. I don't wheel it hard. I only plan to keep it for about 2 years.

Should I get a OEM one, an aftermarket one? Anypoint in upgrading to something of good quality, or will a cheap one last me 2 years with 31's.

thanks,
Adrian

What do you mean by shot? Are the bushings bad? Is it bent? Is it the front or rear? This is all useful info . . .

Sorry, it's the front one. The end of the track bar that attaches to the chassis is worn out. It's similar to a ball joint. I didn't think it could be replaced without replacing the whole bar...maybe I'm wrong.

If the 93 front tb is anything like my 96 stock tb was... the bj end is not replaceable. Your best option is to by an aftermarket adjustable one. Check IRO they have pretty good prices.

I'd recommend the JKS as it is adjustable and will work at your 2" lift height. It's got a large rebuildable spherical bearing at the frame end.
