track bar questions..

before i go jumping into this job i would like to know what im getting into(other than interior and a few small things im just about done building up this ole' jeep)

but i cant get the cotter pin it broke,
cant get a socket on it because there is no room for my 1/2 set
if i take the bracket off i know i can get it but does the other side of the bracket just fall off or is it welded in there?

been postponing this for about a month now and decided today was a good day to concur it, i have a grinder, saw-zall, and an impact, but if there is no other way to get it done ill just cut it off punch the old bolt thru and be done

I suppose you're talking about the stock trackbar frame- end mount? It's a bolt- on mount, using two bolts from the side and two nuts from below. Have a friend turn the steering wheel when doing this, it helps in removing the bolts & the bracket itself.

If the nuts/ bolts aren't frozen solid from rust, removing it is roughly a 10 minute job

yes the front frame mount, ok just the 2 in the driver wheel well and the 2 down beside it?

and just completed this without a pickle fork, my trick hit the bend on the mount that holds the track bar in place and it will just fall out. had more trouble with that stupid cotter pin than anything barely got the new one in

not sure if the posting times are correct , but i think it took me about 3 hours alone

here is the new one i painted it to match my diff cover(the purple green looks tits together)
