Track Bar - 2'' BB, OEM or JKS?

So I've got death wobble.

I'm doing 4 new balljoints (needed) tomorrow, but I also need a new track bar. What I'm wondering is, should I just buy another OEM spec track bar on the cheap, or order one online (most probably the JKS one from KOR that is adjustable I believe). The problem is, I live in Canada, and it's going to take me quite a while to get one shipped, and I'll have to pay a lot.

Basically, is the stock trackbar fine for a 2'' BB, or should I be upgrading?

Thanks guys!

from what i've read 2" is fine but 3"+ you need an adjustable.

and you're probably looking at actual 1.75" w/ the 2" bb.

Okay, so OEM should be fine then. Any idea if there's any bushings or other hardware I need to order with it?

Sounds good! At $80, I'd rather just buy an OEM one than pay around $250 and have to wait a few weeks...

i'd wait on a few more chimes though before i pulled the trigger.

$250? that's pretty high. check with kolak here on the forum if you do decide to go adjustable.

With a 2" BB that is 1.75" it's 2" with the stock isolators. I have a IRO double sheer TB. I got it because my front axle was off to the drivers side and the sway bar end links were grinding into the stock track bar mount and breaking them. It also bent my lower axle end link bracket because it got caught under the TB mount. I had to hammer it back best I could. It's a real big improvement over the stock one for sure. I did have to notch the coil spring perch a little because the IRO bracket drops the TB down a bit and it was contacting the corner of the coil perch when it was disconnected. The IRO 0"-3 " double sheer TB is like 160 or so. It's very beefy.

I want to skip shipping though, so I'd rather find something local. I'll wait and see what the others say though, thanks a lot!

Dont go with the JKS, it is much cheaper than $250 thru Kolak, but it requires drilling out the stock bracket. Wish I had just gone with the IRO one like Polka. If you can afford it, go with IRO over a new stock one.

I had to make the stock bolt hole on the axle end larger to fit the bigger bolt IRO sent. Took a minute or so.

DO NOT do the hole relocation. check out my build thread and look at my track bar. i absolutely DO NOT feel comfortable. i am seriously considering swapping a whole new axle (looking for HP30 right now) just because of that relocation. if i can't find HP30, i'll just weld some brackets on.

do it right and get a beefy track bar just like everyone else is telling you. i should've listened to them also.

you'll notice two type of jeepers:
1) one that listens to other's experience and avoid trouble
2) one that listens to other's experience, ignores it, and does the exact same thing and then gains the same experience.

don't be the second one.

Stan at Northridge is the best if you're in Canada. Most times you get the US price and free shipping over $100

It will work. I just needed to have my axle centered. I didn't like how everything was crooked and the axle was off center.

Probably going to just pick up an OEM one then... Money is tight and I have to get this DW straightened out ASAP.
