trac bar loose?

ok so here my story with this been slowly rebuilding this jeep have replaced all the blushing and joints (except ball joints)( the tires have no "play in them) but anyway there is still this very bad clunk clunk noise when turning but its a distinctive clunk not pop coming from the.passenger side of the jeep i had my wife jump up and down on the driver side and looked and i am watching the bolt from the track bar to the axle moving from side to side is it spose to do that?

Any help would be great
Thanks
Mike

No, all track bar bolts should be tight.

Might want to check the other side too. The mounting bracket tends to work loose.

Could also be the sway bar end links if you didn't replace them when you did the bushings

The hole is wallowed out. You'll need to weld in new metal, a set of washers, or if it isn't too bad you can drill it out to 1/2".

'97 zj 5.2, some stuff, some other suff, and some things that even work sometimes.

I have the same problem with my track bar. I'm getting two metal washers and having someone weld them in. And buying a grade 8 nut and bolt to hold it in place. Just like ratmonkey said.
