Is it safe to tow a 2000lb tent trailer within the first 1000km of the engines life(break-in period).

I suppose you have a new 04 WJ, first check you owners manual for "break-in" in the index. My 97 OM sez check fliuds often, drive at varying speed <80 kph for first 160 km, then <88 kph up to 800 km. Avoid full throtle, steady speeds, excess idling, sudden starts -stops for first 1900 km. If used for heavy duty (towing?) change oil at end of break-in.
