Tom Woods drive shaft problems?

So my tom woods drive shaft started making all kinds of noise. Loud squeeking and some kind of a grinding noise. i looked at it and its coming from the u joint on the tc side. what causes this to happen? its only a year and a half old.
Iro who i bought it from said just grease it up and if that doesnt work to call Tom woods ds and file a warranty claim. i paid almost $400 bucks for it and its already going bad. I dont want to insatall my stock cv style ds and have that snap on me. any body else have this problem?

Did you grease it frequently?

It's ALWAYS spinning, and should be greased every oil change. That's why it's a LOF - lube, oil, and filter. Lube all zerk fittings, change the oil and filter.

It's not like a part-time system with hubs that unlock - where it only spins when it's in 4wd. Those you can go months without greasing if they're not getting a lot of use.

Sounds like you may need a new u-joint.
