Today is a sad day

for me and the Jeep.

I knew my front gears were done already so i really havnt done much to fix it seeing how my axle is bent already because of this...

but anywho i have a DD and figured i would take the jeep out into the local creek and no more than 200 feet in my gears start to act up and had to reverse out...

Sad day

Why would anyone even think about jumping there jeep if it's not equiped for it?Stupid,stupid,stupid etc...

I dont think that was worth it but luckily it wont be that much for a swap at a junkyard.

Serves you right...that was pretty stupid. I can only think of one Jeep around here set up for jumping. You aren't that person.

what i do with my jeep is my own business, ya it serves me right and i learn from my experiences ( just like all of us ) and only have an excuse to upgrade to better axles equipped with 4:56 and some lockers.

It is your business...but then you posted it on here for everyone to see? Honestly what did you think would happen?

I think you took my comment a bit too seriously

Have you popped open the front diff yet to see what happened? Looks like the pinion gear may have been sheared off which allowed it to be pulled outward like that. Or perhaps the pinion bearings were completely crushed. Odd failure since I wouldn't think much force is applied on the pinion, but instead on the carrier bearings since they are what was most likely bent in the axle tubs.

haha ya i know sorry i am a bit... flustered with what happened and probably took it wrong. I am goin to the junk yard next week to find me a hp30 and a d44

haha the ca's are fine i jumped the ZJ maybe.... a year ago maybe a little more, i got a new lift after so everything else is new.

Seems like breakin stuff IS his excuse for upgrades

That jump doesn't seem to severe to me.....yes dumb....but im surprised it cause as much damage as it did.
