tires rubbing and wheel spacers

I have 265/75/R16's mounted on stock 97 limited rims and a 2.25" BB. I looked through the tire size sticky which indicated that the stock rim had the appropriate backspacing before buying the tires, but they bind at full lock and rub on the sway bar and control arms.
What size wheel spacers should I look for? I know that getting new rims would take care of it, but I like the look of the stockers.

Cheers,
Izzy

1.25 or 1.5". You could just adjust your steering stops.

I was thinking about that option as well. I like it because it only costs washers!

Like the other guys have said. You don't really need spacers with 265's. Just ad one or two warshers to the steering stops. That will stop the rubbing.

I used 1.25 inch spacers. I wanted to use my stock rims with my 265/75/r16's , before the spacers I was hitting my rear Springs on full flex and both my front lower control arms on a full turn. I wanted not to affect my turn radius so I went with the spacers and all problems were resolved,

See the long bolt with the clean washer? You'll see that it's tack welded to the nut. Just take it out & throw a washer or two in there. Start with one & then see if they rub still.
