tires and rims

I'm new to this forum here.. well i got a 96 jeep grand cherokee with a 3 inch lift on it last week I'm wondering if full size dodge rims will fit on it and if i can get 285/75/r16 under it with little to no trimming

speedbucket 04-29-2013 12:59 PM

wrong bolt pattern

that size will take some cutting and massaging with 3" of lift.........read through this and it will help you in many areas

alright thanks I'm not 100% positive on the lift height how how do i tell the lift height I'm new to all this stuff lovin my jeep though

speedbucket 04-29-2013 01:06 PM

measure from center of hub to bottom of uncut fender...factory is 18"

Measure from the center of the wheel to the edge of the fender. Stock non upcountry measurement should be 18 inches. If you had upcountry, stock measurement is 19 inches.

EDIT: speedbucket beat me to it lol

Stock its like 18inches to the fender and center of the wheel. You should be at 21in or so with the jeep sitting on the ground.

speedbucket 04-29-2013 01:07 PM

i win:p

KrisBeller 04-29-2013 01:13 PM

speedbucket 04-29-2013 01:16 PM

no, and if the springs have been replaced then the Upcountry package mentioned above doesn't matter either

KrisBeller 04-29-2013 01:18 PM
