Tire size on OEM 5.9L wheels?

If i was to run an IRO 3.5" in the near future...

what size tire would i be able to clear (i read 31s or 32s somewhere here i believe) but the width is what bothers me as i am unaware of how wide one can go safely on these wheels

I'm running 265/70R16 with no problems. Thats 26.5 centimeters wide or just over ten inches I belive. You might be able to go 11.5, the shop you get your tires from should know.

I have 285/75r16s on my 5.9 Rims. That's about the limit I'd imagine.

I'm running 285's as well and would say that is for sure the limit otherwise your tires will wear in the middle.

If you want to squeeze 33's onto a 3.5 inch lift you might want to look at running 255 85 16's otherwise run 265 75 16.
