Tire Size Dilemma
I know that there has been much discussion about this issue but I have a specific question. Right now I have 2.5"lift on rusty's coils. The tires on the truck are shot and I need new ones. I am pretty dead set on going with a set of general grabber AT2. My problem is with the size. I know I can clear the 265/70R16 with no trimming. But I have some stupid notion about going with a 265/75R16. That will rub though right? These are all terrain tires not m/t's so I'm not sure. Also as an aside I want to through spacers on the truck to lift it just a bit more (no less than 3/4"). That addition will be very soon and I dont plan on doing any outrageous wheeling before than. After that add I have no thoughts of lifting any further because I don't want to spend thousands upgrading everything else. Everything suspension wise is stock except for coils, and shocks, with a steering stab, no discos. I was planning on getting those tires today or tomorrow. I don't know what to do.

You would need to trim.

Thanks much. Yeah I guess it really isn't worth the hassle. I'll just stick with the 265/70's I don't gain anything really anyhow by going with the 75's. btw, it's 50 posts before i can put up pics right?

Just trim man, I really don't know why people act like its such a big deal. All you're going to need to trim with the 32's is the front bumper.
Its almost 10 years old don't be a ****** :P

I know I know but all that stock cladding looks so nice. =) But is it really worth the effort? the tire is almost 10# more in weight than the 70's and its not REALLY that much taller or wider. what do i gain? would bumpstops eliminate the trim need if i were to go with the 75's?

You dont need to touch the cladding, just the front bumper that's it. Hit it wit ha razor blade or dremel takes 5 minutes and you cant tell the difference.

Yeah I guess. I'm probably gonna chicken out and just go with the 70's. Can't wait til I can post some pics on here!! I can see why you are partial to going bigger... you're up on 33's with a 5" lift. It's a nice rig
