Tire Dilemma

Ok so, I have a nice coupon from Costco for $60 dollars off a set of select BF Goodrich tires. I noticed that one of the selected tires is the BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A tires. So I'm thinking "awesome I really need new tires and these are the ones I've been looking to get. The problem is they're only showing me the 215/75/R15 size.

Right now the ZJ isn't lifted, and I don't really have room in my weak college budget to get it lifted. So my question is, would this tire size be satisfactory for now?

I think the weight load on those wont support your jeep safely if im correct, call around and ask or check the label on your door if that size is listed should be on passenger rear or driver front door sticker.

The owners manual lists 215/75 as an appropriate tire. And why would Costco say that it fits if it would be unacceptable?

Actually I just went and checked, and right now there are 225/75's on it.

go with a 255 / 70 / 15.. they are the same height as a 235 / 75 / 15.. just wider and a bit meaner looking... If you look at my dinky avatar it has the 255's on a STOCK Jeep

ZJ Dave,

not all V8 Laredos came with 16s. 94s didn't.

I meant that the Limiteds and Orvis and 5.9's all had 16's. But anyway that wasn't the point of my question. I know the 215/75's will fit my wheels, just wanted to see if anyone had any concerns about running a slightly smaller tire.

And there lies the problem. Those tires aren't available with this discount thing from Costco, maybe they don't even carry that size. Could you suggest a place that has that size for a reasonable price. Links are always a help too.

uniroyal tire tiger paws gts at wal mart 75 bucks each... you will have to order them but they ship free..
The set that's on my jeep have about 80,000 miles on them. They are just now getting to the wear bars. I have been looking at new ones. Just have made the leap yet
I did look at some 265/70/15's today.. they looked to be about an inch taller. I just haven't decided what to do tire wise yet..
