is there a manual tranny swap for a 2000 jeep grand cherokee

is there a manual tranny swap for this jeep and if soo how do you get around the whole computer aspects of it ????

you could do it, but it'll be very expensive. a fair amount of fabrication is involved as there are no provisions for the associated equipment for a manual in the wj. no provision for a master cylinder, no pedals that will work out of the box, etc...
you'd need a computer reprogram to get around the MIL and drivability issues that obdii vehicles have with such a swap.

thats what i thought . thanks for your response . i don't know if all that is worth it to this particular jeep. i will be doing the same conversion to my bronco with out all the extra expenditures. with a 460 swap and a 5 speed manual mazda tranny.
