I'd say about 70% of the zj's I see out here are 2wd.

Which is quite the opposite of out here.

I don't think I've seen a single 2WD ZJ in Utah. And I see at least 10 a day.

I'm pretty sure most vehicles that SHOULD be 4x4 are produced and shipped to the Los Angeles area... I even see 2wd zj's out here with the 5.2...

Up in Maine I have never seen a 2wd ZJ. I know they made them, though.
I work at a very busy tire shop.... I have seen maybe a half dozen 2wd XJs in my lifetime. Including the one I own...

'93 V8 ZJ Mountain Goat Edition.
'95 V8 ZJ Limited, '97 4.0L ZJ TSi
'96 4.0L 2wd XJ, '88 4.2L YJ

Didn't mean that in anyway shape or form to insult any of you that own a 2wd zj. I was just raised to know that a jeep is a 4x4, no excuses. Even though my VC is shot and I have my front drive shaft removed, haha.

Up here where I live in Canada I find it odd to think of people buying a Jeep that is 2wd and they are much more rare, but they still do exist. As much as I love my Jeep I own it for its 4wd ability, and I would not have considered it without that.

Mines 2wd and wouldn't have it any other way. I have no use for 4 wheel but I do appreciate the ride height and simplicity of repairs, and just the styling of the jeep. Fully understand the allure of 4 wheel and the need for it in other locales. If I get a boat in a couple years I will buy a ZJ for the other foot that is 4W, or maybe a newer model.
