TC Skid swap from a Limited to a Non-Limited

Question: Has anyone done this, and if so, how?? It seems to me that the Limiteds have nutserts in the frame for the bolts to go into. Mine doesn't have them.

An idea I've been throwing around is using fishing line to bring the bolts through the access hole in the frame, and trying to get them to drop through the hole, putting a nut on them, and going like that.

And I know it's a stock TC skid, but hey, it's better than what I got now, right??

believe it or not, iv never really seen limiteds with the skids. iv usually only seen them on laredos, orvis's, or anything with the upcountry kit aside from those who have swapped skids in

My '93 Limited came with a skid. Almost positive it came stock, the PO's sure didn't seem like the kind that would add something like that.

You can buy nutserts at any fastenal store. I have some I bought but never used, I'd get rid of them if you want them...

They are the exact ones the factory nutserts are. All you need is the nutsert tool to put them in, or use a bolt and a couple nuts like I've read online.
