Taking the front driveshaft out?

is it a good idea to take the front driveshaft out of a 95 limited? i have the quadra track so its awd. would i be able to do this without other parts going bad? or is it a bad idea all togather? thanks!

no it will burn up the vc. you can only take the front driveshaft out of a 96+

you can if you really want 2wd, but a fully functioning 249 (what you have) is a very capable, and strong, t-case.

Okay cool thanks! I'm just looking for a different setup.. I have the 4.0 and it seems a bit underpowered for the Jeep. Even after a fresh TuneUp.

Are you sure you have a 249 under it? (Is it only 4wd high - neutral - 4wd low ?)

A tune up will help. the 4.0 is slow, and 2wd from a 242 tc will not help. Stick with your 249 tc.
