t-case swap

hey there, would a transfer case fit from a 2000 grand cherokee, 4.0 litre, fit on my 1994 zj, 5.2v8 (np249)?

It would, but you'd loose your speedometer. WJ's use parts from their ABS system to get the reading, instead of a gear in the transfer case like ZJ's do. I'd look around for one from an XJ or ZJ.

Also, there is some deal with the bolt pattern. Might want to check it out. There is compatability issues when you are going from 42RE WJ to a 45RFE WJ. I would imagine that their would be an issue with a TC behind a 45RFE (V8 WJ) going to a ZJ.
