which t-case is this?

went to the junkyard the other day and saw this odd T-case bezel that had 2WD, N, 4-part time, and 4-LO, something i've never come across. which one is this?

Sounds like an NP/NV231 to me.

it was a 96 ZJ. it wasnt 4hi, it was 4 part-time

ok, i know almost all the t-cases like the back of my hand.

this one was totally new to me. it had 4 different selections.

2 wheel drive
part time 4 wheel drive
neutral
4 wheel drive low

thats it, no full time 4. none at all.

Yes, as I said, that's a 231. The 231 has only part-time 4WD, not fulltime like the 242 and 249 do.
