Id look deeper into that. The TJ 44 and the ZJ/WJ 44A are very different axles. Not to mentiont he WJ isnt even the same lug pattern.

PA5225 and PA5226 are Superior's replacement axle shafts for the ZJ, it says '96-'99 but the '99 part is most likely a typo as their WJ/WK axle shafts (PA5221 and PA5222) are listed as fitting '99-'07. I'd call and double-check first to be safe, but I don't see that being a problem. $120 is solid price for a good set of axles.

Thats probably $120 each shaft but still $240 for a set of shafts is great.

Yeah, whoops, meant to type $240 for the pair. They're $150 each from Superior, so saving $60 on the pair is a solid deal indeed. Makes me wonder what their shipping prices are to Canada... my only wonder is whether the axles come with the ABS tone rings.

Ah, just a bored-out 5.9L, nothing too special I'm afraid.

You do the 5.9 swap? The 5.9 was only used in the 98 ZJ Yours would have been a 5.2 stock.

Yup, cracked a piston in the 5.2, was going to rebuild it but found a 5.9L block locally so I built that instead. I've got a D44A out of a 5.9L ready to go in with the lift kit, hence my interest in the axle shafts.

I checked with Superior and the axle shafts do not come with ABS tone rings, but you can swap the tone rings from the old axles to the Superiors.

Keep in mind the 44A from the 5.9 is a 3.73 ratio. Make sure your OEM front axle is 3.73 also. The ZJ came with 3.55 with out tow package and 3.73 with tow package.

All v8s came with 3.73's except for some very, very rare early '93's.

Yep, definitely have the 3.73s in my diffs, just need a conversion U-joint for the larger yoke and it should bolt right in. Whether I'll need to shorten the driveshaft, or if a 4.5" lift will negate the need for that, is the only thing I'm iffy on. Cross that bridge when I come to it, I suppose.
