Summit racing 3" cat-back

Has anyone bought and installed the 3 inch cat back for a WJ that Summit has on sale for 125 bucks? I was wondering how the sound and quality was. I have a spare few bucks and I am looking to upgrade my exhaust, any other suggestions?

What is the brand? Is it one of those dynomax glass packs? If it is it will sound like garbage and rot out in a year.
If you are looking to get a little more sound out of your jeep look into a Flow master muffler.

Looks like it will do the job if your looking for more sound, not a bad price too.

Muffler style says Turbo thats what I would be concerned with. I would a assume it is a thrush turbo glass pack. It will sound like garbage and rot out. I would look into taking it to a local muffler shop and just have them put in a decent flow master.

i hate the way flowmasters sounds...they are baffled mufflers, which sound terrible IMO.

i had a 3" magnaflow put on recently. sounds incredible.no drone, not loud, its perfect

Stay away. I have it on my 4.0 JGC - sounds like crap and is loud and very annoying @ highway speeds (2000+ rpms). Very loud that that you will get noticed and tickets. I replaced the muffler with a SUV 50 series which sounds great with the 3" piping after that. Get it just for the 3" piping if you're in a pinch.

The 3" piping is really unnecessary on the 4.0L. 2.5" piping is ideal, and I'm pretty sure thats what Kolak includes in his 4.0L kits.

Wow, that bad huh! Thanks for helping me avoid a giant mistake. I will start looking elsewhere for some options. I think i was drawn in by the fact that it was so cheap. I guess you truly get what you pay for. thanks again for the help.

I have my 2.5" mandrel bent WJ tailpipes in stock and we can couple it with a high quality Magnaflow or Flowmaster muffler to suit your taste in sound volume and character. Send me a PM if you'd like more information and pricing.
