I dont know what happened to my jeep, but anyways, about 3 weeks ago, it started making this really loud vaccum sound from the engine when I accelerated, and the V-8 has turned into a
V-1.........weird........yeah I know........it wont go over 3500 rpms, i mean it still goes up to like 70mph, but it takes long to get up there.........and theres a rattling noise comming from the exhaust......someone told me it was the catalytic converter.......but i wanted to make sure before i bought the damn thing.......so anyways feedback would be appreciated.....thaks

Sounds like a cat... Try removing it and temporarily fitting a test pipe.

Bingo! Cat is is.... How many miles on your rig? If it's less than 80K or 8 yrs then the repair is FREE (federal warranty)

I had something similar to this happen to me, I kept pushing the jeep by taking it on the highway and flooring it, slowing down, flooring it and it cleared and it drives like it never happened... my.02
