Stock Hub to Fender Measurement
Hey guys, I used to run OME + BB, and I switched from that to IRO 4" springs. I measured that the IRO springs gave me .5" less lift than my other setup which is supposed to give me a 3.5" lift. I did a measurement today with what I have been thinking was my IRO 4" lift, it came to 21 1/4 front and rear. Did they give me the 3" lift springs, or 4" lift springs.

Stock measurements are 18" on a WJ. When I ran my OME + BB, I had 4.5" of lift. The OME HD springs actually gave 2.5" of lift and then the BB 2". The Regular OMEs only gave 1.5" of lift due to the lesser spring rate. So IRO's 4" springs should be .5" less than the OME HD + BB unless you had the medium duty ones.
Regardless you will be happier with the spring only lift over the combination. You could always move up to their 5.5" ones if you wanted more lift, in most cases the shocks for that lift fit 4-6" of lift.

Based on the measurements, IRO sent you 3" springs, not 4". Unless of course, they sagged 3/4" since the recent install, which is unlikely.

I would have to agree, usually IROs springs provide slightly more lift than they say, so it looks like you are getting 3.25" of lift which would be what the 3" ones would give. In almost every case with IROs springs, what they say ie 4" springs will not sag below that 4", you might get more, but never less.
Give them a call.

0k thanks guys, ill call them tom. Im getting the RE monotubes anyways from kolak. I told him to match me a set that would work good with a 4" lift. Would 25" extended with 10" travel sound right? Thanks for the verification, ill be happy to get the 4" springs.
