Stereo Issue...

Hey Guys, I am trying to replace my 1997 Grand Cherokee's original stereo, for something more updated. However, I don't know what could replace it... it's not single or double din, but something in between?

Any hint on what could do the job?

Thanks in advance!

I would check out Crutchfields (not sure if they ship to Brazil.) Depending on how much you spend, they may, or may not include the mounting kit. You will also need a wiring adapter to go from your Jeep's harness to the new stereo; these are cheap also. I hope you are good with a soldering gun.

The '97 GC is a 1 1/2 din. If you have the XJ instead like your profile says, I don't know what they are.

Crutchfield +1

I recently swapped out my orig ZJ 1.5 din deck for a single din cd/mp3 player. If you go Crutchfield route, you can also get an aftermarket trim piece to fit your particular rig that
just goes around your new deck and fills that dead space.
Definitely opt for the wiring harness too... makes life 1000x easier on install.
Never underestimate the power of tons of electrical tape and 100s of wire nuts

Just put in a Kenwood from Crutchfield. It comes with directions, install kit, and a wiring harness. Took a couple hours to wire it up and put it in. Work great and sounds much better.
