steering stabilizer

Well since I plan on replacing my shocks soon, I was wondering if I should replace the steering stabilizer as well.

What are the symptoms of a bad one?

Would getting a stiffer than stock one improve anything?

Thanks

Symptoms would be leaking or if you pull off one end, you can move it easily with one hand. I have not used a stiffer one, but the stock replacement worked fine for me. I have 33's and a 5.5 lift.

On mine it wandered alittle more and didn't have a good "tight" feeling on the steering. I just replaced mine with a cheapo monroe and it feels great now. I'm sure someone on here with chime in if they have a HD SS. Stock replacement worked good for me and it was cheap.
