ok guys im a tech at a local repair shop and we have an 04 GC special edition 4.0L. the steering is making a loud rubbing/creaking noise, it only starts happening after driving for a good 15-20 minutes. it is not the rubber gromet at the firewall, i have already tried that and it didnt help any. i found a tsb for a spacer and an update for a peice right behind the steering wheel and that did not solve the problem either. i also tried flushing the fluid and replacing the return line since i had extra line, which still didnt help. it sounds like it is coming from the rack but its hard to tell as sounds like to travel. has anyone else had the problem before? if you need any more info just let me know and ill get back to you.
