steady leak at shifter

so i have a 98 Grand Cherokee laredo and just replaced the transmission pan gasket because I had thought this was leaking, also replaced filter. this was on Friday afternoon i let the jeep sit all night with no fluid so that everything would seal properly. Saturday i put in the trans fluid topped it off and went about my day. didn't noticed any leaks last night woke up this morning (Sunday) and noticed a good size trans oil spot so i cleaned everything up and noticed the it was coming from the shifter linkage.. so i need help, is this an easy fix? and if so how can i fix this so it will stop leaking??

My shifter linkage seal was leaking also among other things, I took it to a buddy at a transmission shop and he has a shift linkage seal puller so he took mine off from the outside without the need to remove the valve body. cost me 50$

Have you checked the oil level? Shifter is sort of on top, does the oil normally stay that high?

When you shut the jeep off all the oil drops to the bottom of the pan and theres more than enough oil in the trans to reach the shift linkage trust me I saw it commin out there.
