sqeaking from transfer case

ok so at first i thought the squeak was coming from the front end looked at all that nothing. Lift up the jeep and turn the tires by hand theres that squeak. So by getting a friend to turn the tire while I climbed under the heap I found that the noise is coming from the input of the transfercase. What could the problem be? I know I need to change a gasket or two at this point because the transfer case was actually leaking a little bit when I was under there looking

Cancel that the squeak is coming from where the front driveshaft leaves the transfer case

The squeak is probably being caused by bad bearings. If your TC is leaking fluid from the gasket and the bearings are bad, then I would recommend pulling the entire unit, breaking it open to inspect and clean the insides, seal the housing (no actual gasket, RTV), replace the bearings at both outputs and input, as well as all oil seals.
Can't get any better than that!
