Sputtering Jeep.

Hello again,

My next issue is the jeep has been sitting for about 6 months or so not being used before I bought it. I go to drive it home and it sputters when I hit the gas. Is it a combo of needing a tune up really bad, having crappy gas and maybe needs to replace the filter plus adding cleaner to the gas, and also needing to be driven on the highway to get the gunk out that has accumulated since it has been sitting? Or should I be worried that I could have a bigger problem. Side note. The battery is dead and not seeming to hold a charge. Could be a crap battery or bad alternator. Could this problem affect it as well??? Thank you in advance for any helpful info!!!

A good battery and connections are a must have when it comes to Jeep electronics. I would start with a fresh battery and fuel and go from there.
