Speedometer lens

My counsins lens in front of the speedometer is cloudy. I called a dealership for her, and they want $300 for a new one. Is there anywhere online that you can order parts for jeeps or know of anywhere you can get parts at wholesale prices. I just can't see why that part would cost so much. It's only $15 for my z28.

I don't have mine with me today but is it possible to grab some clear lexan-type plastic from the hardware superstore and cut one to fit? Remove the old one and use it as a template for a new one.

I forget if there's any curve to it but that could probably be "induced" also if needed.

Also never use Windex on interior clear panels. The ammonia will dissolve many plastics! Especially the rear windows on rag-tops.
