Which sparkplugs for my Jeep?

*I have a 4.0L STR6 in a 99' JGC Laredo* I have searched and found a useful thread on sparkplug recommendations but through many conflicting viewpoints I would like to verify that opinions haven't changed in 2 years...so I heard that Champion "Truck Plugs" are "best" for the Jeep. I also saw these Iridium ones here Is the $4 price hike worth it or should I just go with the truck plugs? I can find the Champion truck spark plugs in any autoparts store too correct? Also, should I change the coil and boot from the coil rail each time I change spark plugs too? Or can I just add spark plugs and slap the rail back on?

Thanks!

Cheap, simple champion copper core, or cheap simple autolite copper core.

I like No Good Kind, with Autolite as my 2nd. They did however, come with Champion from the factory.

So I won't notice any difference by going to more expensive plugs?

None whatsoever. Occasionally fancier plugs will even cause problems on the 4.0 and are guaranteed to on the 4.7.

Alright then that saves me some money! Also, should I change the spring and boot with the plugs or are those good? 6 of them cost like $40 by themselves so I really don't want to have to. Thanks for the suggestions!

What about for the 4.0 with distributor-less ignition. What does the Dealer install? I want to use the same plugs because the Jeep has run flawlessly since being serviced at 55k.
oops wrong forum

No need to unless you have a misfire. The I6 ignition coil is an excellent and efficient system.

Same champion copper core plugs. If you want to be sure of what the dealer actually put in, though, just pull one and look at it.

Same here, actually. However, I'm tempted to try the autolite platinums, figuring they might last longer than the copper. Normally I wouldn't bother, but we have them on sale at work for only 20 cents more per plug than the copper. Anyone else use these?
