Soundstream 15" 1000 watt rms in a 5.5 cubic ft box.
Hifonics 1500d amp at one ohm.
Rockford components with a 600 watt rockford amp at 4 ohms.
Extra battery and a 8 farad soundstream capacitor. Loud enough..

I have a Sony hu, and 4 aftermarket door speakers, nothing special but are rubber surround and not paper, would a small amp be a good idea for these speakers? I don't think the head unit can keep up with them.

3.5 re lift, double sheer front tb, 31" wrangler duratecs

Even if I was going to build multiple boxes and would be changing them out. How much longer does it take to put carpet on? 30min to cut it and glue then let it dry say over night? I'd do it. Makes it look alot better that's for sure.

I have to agree on NOT carpeting a box if its not going to be the final box being used.

Think of it like this... How many trail rigs have you seen, beat to crap looking but still perform outstanding. Or something fabed up that looks like a hack job just to get things going with the idea of cutting it back off to clean it up and make things final.

With that being said, I'd do the same. Wait till its how I want it before I carpet it. Otherwise its just another waste of money on top of the MDF you lost out on by changing the box itself too.

^^^Yup
I built my box in July and I've been breaking in my subs with it. I'm not too happy about tuning (peaks at about 42hz), so I'm going to rebuild. I'm going to make it bigger, maybe about 11 cu ft and tune it lower, maybe around 30hz. After I build that box, only if I'm happy with it I'm gonna paint it not carpet.

It's all good. It's just people constantly talk down to me on here just cause I have a system. I got into an argument with a respected member on here a while back because he said people like me are stupid for even thinking we are really running 6k watts. He said just 1000 "real" watts would shatter windows and send people to the hospital. He threw out some mumbo jumbo and since he had wayy more posts and has been here a while, everybody believed his stupid statements. So everybody turned on me and started talking ***** to me like I didn't know what I was talking about.
