The speakers in my 97 GC are kinda shot. I went to a shop to find out about replacing them, they told me cause its an INFINITY AMPLIFIED SYSTEM (stock) that they would need to be rewired anyway. So far 2 people told me this. Is this true if the dealership was to replace them with stock speakers??

That's not true at all, unless they mean the crossover wiring between the front door speakers and the dash tweeters.
The reality is you can replace any speaker and use the stock amp just get speakers that have high sensitivity (don't require a lot of power) because the Infinity amp is not exactly a boomer!

Razz, try crutchfield, they can give you a name, model No, etc. of the speakers you need that will work with your infinity gold system. you can buy from them or try to find a better price for the items you find there. good luck
