Some Advise To a Noob If You Don't Mind

Bought my lifted 94' ZJ last fall and I have some questions and need a little advise.

What I do know about the Jeep is it has a RE 3.5" superflex lift w/ 32x10.5x15 TSL's. Every bushing in the suspension is pretty much wasted. What I want to do is replace every control arm bushing, shocks, steering damper, and tie rod ends.

Question #
1) Do the RE control arms use standard size (OEM) bushings? If not, what are my options?

2) What shocks should I be considering? I'm looking to keep this set fairly low buck until I know what the hell I'm doing.

Email Nick (kolak@aol.com), I think he sells a bushing kit for your ZJ.

Kolak also sells shocks. Tell him what you are looking for and the price and he will help you out.

x3, kolak will probably want to call you or you call him and he'll get you all setup with the right stuff. his prices are very fair so it's your best bet going through him.

Kolak can get you the bushings.

The new stlye RE control arms require a RE housglass bushing that only they make.

The old style RE control arms use a standard clevite style CA bushing.

Notice how the center of the outer bushing sleeve tapers in the middle? That is the new style:

This is an example of the CA bushing that the old ones takes. It is also a fine example of how the old style bushing doesn't fit in the new style CA.

This is the new style bushing (a worn out one though):

Thanks for the help guys.

I've been in contact w/Nick re: several items and he's been very helpful. Hope to place an order w/ him yet this week.

ArloGuthroJeep (Ryan),
Thanks for the info on the CA's. I didn't know there were different types.

Cheers
