So I got my build sheet... It shows things I don't have?

I was bored and did the build sheet request to Chrysler and to my surprise it says it has all this;
GXMS Keyless Entry with Panic Alarm
LAGS Warning Chime - Think that's the key in ignition chime?
NAE California Emissions
NBTP Transitory Low Emission Veh (TLEV) - Not sure what that one is, it was next to the Cali emissions on the list.
GCBS Front Door Tinted Glass

I've never heard a single chirp out of this thing, it didn't have the security light installed but I installed it for the automatic headlight sensor and it's never flashed, nowhere under the hood does it say California, and my front windows are factory untinted, I just tinted them a couple weeks ago, plus I've had the doors open before to replace speakers and everything was untouched, windows were never replaced.
So is Chrysler messing up or is something weird going on here? SERIOUSLY doubt the VINs are swapped/altered, both the driver door and dash match, but this sure has me scratching my head. This was an abandoned vehicle after all, I know nothing of its history. Ah the fun surprises this Jeep gives me.

Out of interest, does your build sheet say that you've got rack and pinion steering? Mine does, and so have several others I've seen, even though it was never available on the ZJ. IIRC, the very first Jeep vehicle Chrysler built with R&P steering was the 2002 Liberty.

zj's all came with keyless entry IIRC (or at least the limiteds)
all the emissions stuff is suppose to be there. So they could sell them in all the states.
tint could have been pulled off by po, replaced, etc.

1. Security (alarm) is sales code LSA. The red button on your keyless entry trasmitter is for the panic alarm, has nothing to do with LSA.
2. Yes
3. CA vehicle. NAA is the code for federal (49 state) emisions. At the beginning of the sales code list could be a 1** code saying what sales zone the vehicle was originally sold in, and 6** and 9** code showing what state it was originally sold for.
4. Only used with sales code NAE
5. Only the rear doors, quarters, and hatch got the dark tint. Front doors and windshield have a very light tint.

Only the Limited came with keyless, I have a Laredo, and if it did have keyless/security it would have the security light on the dash. And Cali emissions are only sold in Cali.

Mine was sold in midwest and has cali emissions. Many vehicles, especially all new vehicles, come with 50 state emission standards. Not a single chevy I ever sold in az said anything other. Imagine its been that way for quite a while

i think keyless was standard on a limited, optional on a laredo. look on the headliner where the rear seat overhead lights are. if theres a little black dome, then you have keyless entry

also its not uncommon for the build sheet to be wrong. mine says rack and pinion steering

Not true....

One of my ZJs was originally sold in New York, the other originally sold in Maine.

Both list California Emissions, and the one that sold in NY also lists NY Emissions as well.

My XJ that originally came from Georgia also has California Emissions.

Both ZJs list R & P steering, as well as my '93 lists a "Low rolling resistance 255/55R18 tires" and "15x7 alloy wheels....

last year when i sent in for the build sheet on my dads 05 WK, which was a 3.7 2 wheeler laredo, the build sheet listed 5.7 hemi, quadradrive, limited decor group, and a bunch of other stuff. i think the only thing that was right on that build sheet was when it listed trailer tow, which my dads jeep did have.

On the 93-95 yes. They had the infrared transmitter. 96-98 had the RF transmitter so no dome on the overhead.

So pretty much from the sounds of it next to no one has had a 100% accurate build sheet? Kinda weird that their system is so screwed up but I guess in the 90's maybe they still weren't that worried about keeping such information backed up properly. Idk. Lol

My build sheet says I have the UC package, but I don't. Kinda odd... Either Chrysler is sloppy as hell, or somebody did some modifying before I got the vehicle...

It's because it uses the current codes for things
