My 5.9 is getting making a slight clunking sound when I steer (usually at speeds over about 35). It sounds like metal on metal and is very distinctive. It is somewhat random and happens with slight movement of the steering wheel. I don't have to actually be turning to produce the sound....it's usually happens while making slight adjustments to the steering wheel while driving in a straight line. I'm currently at 5.5" of lift and have all the adjustable control arms, adjustable track bars, etc.
Any ideas?

How about your bolts that hold in your steering box. Three bolts in your wheel well.

Is the "track bar" the same thing as the sway bar? Just trying to clarify, I think its just a difference in terminology.

Nope, the trackbar centers the axle. It connects to the frame on the drivers side and to the axle on the passanager side.

The track bar needs to be adjusted actually. I'll find out if that is the problem tomorrow when I take it in. I had it lifted up to 5.5" and they forgot/neglected to center the axle properly. It's off about an inch to the right.

Can you elaborate? Which side, inside or from engine compartment?
Thanks!
It turns out it was not the track bar since I had it adjusted and it still clunks. It's actually getting worse now.

They are on the outside. Look inside your wheel well above and in front of the tire on the driver's side. Two of them are easy to see. Those are the bottom two bolts. The other bolt is about 3 inches above that and a litter further to the left. You will need a 3/8 ratchet or box end wrench. From the factory they are locktited. If it is loose pull the bolt and re locktite them one at a time.
